| The day after Karen left me, I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant and my fortune cookie read: “We secure our friends not by accepting favors, but by doing them”. Immediately I knew Karen was smiling down on me, because that was how I felt about her. She would do anything, anytime for anyone. I was introduced to Karen by Linda Bolton almost 12 years ago when our sons were playing soccer. She talked to me as if she’d known me her whole life. We found out we lived in the same neighborhood, had gone to the same high school…GO HIGHLANDERS!...and knew some of the same families. We became so close, so fast, that we went and did almost everything together at TCYO. We planned and worked together at Family Picnics, Chili Nites, Christmas Parties, Soccer Tournaments, and Turkey Shoots. She was a pro at organizing and making phone calls, especially when it came to getting everyone together for “Dive Of The Month”! Now they’ve made me in charge and I hope to make her proud. I am Proud to say she was and will always be my friend, my confidant, my sister! She was with me in the good times and bad. I still can’t believe that I can’t pick up the phone and call her. Her boys will always be special in my heart. I miss you deeply MY FRIEND and can’t wait until we can see each other again “For A Cold One”! All My Love! Carol L. Roll |

| I remember the first time I saw Karen. She was on Farwick’s patio enjoying a “Willard Tub”, soaking in fresh air and sunshine – no air tubes needed. I can see her clearly – Beehive hairdo, crisp white oxford shirt, tiny blue jeans and white keds. Funny, I thought, it’s the late eighties and this lady has a beehive. She smiled and said hi – she always could spot a “newbie”. Little did I know that “Hi” was the beginning of a friendship that would take us through years of Turkey shoots, Summers on ball fields, and trying times keeping that damn scoreboard straight. Karen and I were steady dates for years of the “Dive Of The Month Club”. Man, did she love cheesecake…Proud Rooster will never let us back! We watched our boys play and grow, often thanked God for Farwick. Where else can you turn your kids loose to be kids and enjoy adult beverages? Weezie, as she later came know as, always had a hello and “What can I do to help?”. This Bud’s For You! With Love, Jan Molloy |
